The Tough Love way is not ‘everyday’ and may not be for everyone. We strongly encourage you to look before you leap, hence the introductory special rates. We offer you a tryout package that involves 3 classes at a reduced price for a week. The charges are only levied because while someone is trying something out, assessments are being made. Form imbalances and strength ratios are being studied, a squat is being analysed bit by bit, and your running form is under the scanner.
The initial screening is given the same importance and presence of focus that training demands. A typical program week consists of circuit training for 3 days, with single movement strength exercises or running/swimming thrown if your body allows for it. Circuit training involves multi-joint compound exercises using mostly bodyweight, timed sprints, slow grinding strength exercises and maybe even some intense rope work. For example, if you find that you are suddenly dragging your training partner by the shoulders across the parking lot, don’t get tired yet... the 100 mtr sprint in just around the corner.
Functional fitness and improving your neuro-muscular efficiency is what it is all about here. Our ability to do anything and not get drawn into a mind numbing single fitness routine that is one dimensional, injury provoking and to a large extent, pointless. Since functional fitness involves simple or complex movement while supporting your own body weight, there is an added emphasis on the back and the leg muscles while we train. Simply put, we love squats and intense leg work!

Workouts can be customised to meet individual and group goals, requirements and timings. Individual progress is measured by analysing performance improvement, fitness indicators and benchmarks set for the individual or group. The size of your bicep is inconsequential.
Remember though that running hard, doing dozens of circuits and training till you spill your guts on dirt and asphalt is 40% of the work required. Because multi-discipline fitness is the goal, and thanks to the plethora of people that are part of T.L.F, you will find generous support and advice on nutrition and recovery here.
